John Bacon of St Clement Danes, joiner Counterpart lease, with a plan, for 31 years of a toft of ground with messuages thereon and with appurtenances on the east side of Stanhope Street, St Clement Danes and in the occupation of John Bacon, fronting west on Stanhope Street and abutting north on a house lately in the occupation of Henry Kitchen, east on a house in the occupation of Thomas Matravers and south on a house in the occupation of John Bacon. Agreements included: (i) Bacon to spend £50 on repairing the premises before Lady Day 1763 (ii) Bacon shall kill, dress and order all the black cattle, oxen, bulls, cows which are exposed for sale at the demised premises at the slaughter house in Sheffield Street, now in the possession of John Martin (iii) Heriot of £2 shall be payable on the death of the tenant, marriage of the tenant's widow and assignment of the lease. |
