By indenture dated 29 Apr 1790, Haughton James purchased from Sir Henry Bridgeman the residual term of a lease dated 29 Sep 1766 for a term of 77 1/2 years (of which 7 1/2 years are remaining) of land fronting south west on South Street, with a brick built messuage thereon together with a garden plot to the rear. It is agreed between the parties that the indenture of 29 Sep 1766 also included land with coach house and stables but this is not included in the assignment dated 29 Apr 1790. The piece of land with coach house and stable will remain the property of Haughton James who covenants to produce the title deeds. |
