A marriage settlement dated 2 Apr 1796 created a trust on behalf of John Earle Pitcher, then a resident of the Island of St Christopher, and Elizabeth Herbert, the trustees being John George Goldfrap and William Burroughs, barrister. Property vested exclusively on behalf of Elizabeth Pitcher is from henceforth to be held in trust by John Freeman and William Northage, together with John George Goldfrap the surviving trustee of her marriage settlement. In addition, John Earle Pitcher releases to the trustees all rights and titles held by him made or gained from the distinct and separate estate of his wife, and also assigns to them the residual term of a 16 year lease dated 9 Jan 1800 of premises on the north side of Pall Mall.
