A marriage settlement dated 2 Apr 1796 created a trust on behalf of John Earle Pitcher, then a resident of the Island of St Christopher, and Elizabeth Herbert, the trustees being John George Goldfrap and William Burroughs, barrister. Property vested exclusively on behalf of Elizabeth Pitcher is from henceforth to be held in trust by John Freeman and William Northage, together with John George Goldfrap the surviving trustee of her marriage settlement.
