By an indenture dated 28 May 1804, land fronting east on Baker Street was demised to WIlliam Marr by Thomas Chandless of York Place, Marylebone at the direction of David Porter of the same place, builder. By a further lease dated 29 May 1810, David Porter demised to William Marr land in Allsops Mews. The indenture is a deed of arrangement and settlement but is too damaged to open. There are two endorsements dated 2 and 3 May 1838, presumptively lease and release, Marr to Springall. |
