DescriptionLittle Ben, a cast iron replica of St Stephen's Tower located at the junction of Victoria Street and Vauxhall Bridge Road. It was donated to Westminster City Council by S Smith and Sons of Clerkenwell in 1892. It was removed for road widening in 1964 and was replaced in 1981 to commemorate the Royal wedding. The Royal Standard Music Hall was demolished in 1911 and replaced by the Victoria Palace. Photo by the Portman Press Agency - a modern copy of a photograph or postcard of c1900.
