DescriptionElevated view of the entrance to the South Eastern and Chatham railway station at Victoria, taken from Wilton Road. Attached to the station facade is an advertisement for J Lyons' restaurant and a long awning advertising: "shortest and quickest route to Paris & the continent - Sea passage one hour". To the west of the forecourt, traffic circulates on Wilton Road. The original photograph has been heavily retouched in places prior to being printed as a postcard. The caption on the reverse of the card reads: "Victoria Station, London. Terminus of the South Eastern Railway also the London Brighton and South Coast Railway".
