| Description | View of the interior of the Princes Chamber. In the centre of the room are two octagonal tables. The wood panelled walls are decorated with portraits of monarchs. To the right is a statue of Queen Victoria, flanked by the figures of Justice and Mercy. The caption on the reverse of the card reads: "Princes Chamber - Richly decorated and panelled. Through this room the Royal Procession passes to the House of Lords. In a recess is a white marble statue of Queen Victoria, enthroned between Justice and Mercy, by Gibson. On the walls are full length portraits of the Tudor Kings and their Consorts, while below are bronze reliefs of events in their reigns. Postcard published by Raphael Tuck. |
