DescriptionA boy looks at temporary flood defences erected on Grosvenor Road. Pimlico was hit by devastating flooding when, on 6 January 1928, the Thames flood tide rose 1.8 metres higher than expected. This photograph shows a wall of sandbags was erected to protect the area from the flood waters.
