DescriptionBlack and white postcard of Westminster Abbey seen looking south from Parliament Square. The view includes the north front of the Abbey from the north transept to the west towers. In the left foreground stands the tower of the Church of St Margaret. The caption on the reverse of the card reads: 'Westminster Abbey - Originally established by Edward the Confessor, 1049-65; rebuilt by Henry III and Edward I. All England's Kings and Queens have been crowned in the Abbey and the nation's most celebrated men are interred here as the last and greatest honour which can be paid them'.
