Major Henry Foubert was the third generation of the Foubert family to run a riding school. This Hugeunot family fled to England from France in 1769, and is commemorated in the naming of Foubert Place in Soho. Unsigned watercolour dated 1801. (3) is a pen and ink drawing of the same view. |
