DescriptionThe first iron bridge over the Thames was Vauxhall Bridge, or the Regent's Bridge as it was first called. Designed by James Walker, the bridge opened in 1816. This bridge was replaced with the current bridge in 1906. Drawn by S Cossart, engraved by J Basire
