Courts for the nomination and election of officers of the Court of Burgesses were held until April 1765. Thereafter the nominations and elections were carried out at ordinary sessions of the Court of Burgesses. The courts were held annually in March or April.
By 1705 the Court Leet was held twice a year in March or April and in September or October. From April 1733 to April 1737 it met at the same session as the Court of Burgesses, but from October 1737 to April 1756 the court changed its name to the Court Leet and View of Frankpledge. Thereafter there are no recorded sessions of the Court Leet until October 1763 when it reappears meeting frequently, either with the Court of Burgesses or in separate sessions. The last recorded session was on 1 August 1839.
The Court of Wardmote met annually in December from 1731 to 1735.
