For the period up to April 1765 the appointment of Burgesses was made at special sessions of the Court for the nomination and election of officers (see WCB 3 - WCB 5, WCB 7 - WCB 13).
Thereafter the courts which appointed the Burgesses were not known by any special name. Lists of officers of the Court, including the Burgesses, for 1790-1901 appear in the minute books (WCB 16, WCB 19 - WCB 22) |
