DescriptionBlack and white aerial photograph of Westminster, taken looking north-west from the Thames at Lambeth. The view extends north towards St James's Park, Trafalgar Square and Charing Cross, and includes the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall and Horse Guards. In the foreground stand Thames House and Imperial Chemical Industries House. To the west, the gasometers at Marsham Street and the London Transport Headquarters at 55 Broadway can be seen. Lambeth Bridge and Westminster Bridge are also clearly shown. The caption reads: 'General view of Westminster. Millbank in the foreground on the left, Lambeth Palace on the right'.
