TitleWestminster Abbey
DescriptionBlack and white postcard of the interior of the Quire of Westminster Abbey. The view is taken looking west towards the choir screen and West Window, and includes the pipe organ on the south wall of the nave. The caption on the reverse of the card reads: 'Choir, looking West. A beautiful view of the most perfect medieval building in Britain. Looking East or West we have a lovely vista of arch and column, triforium and vaulted roof. It seems to have been planned as the Coronation church, for the Choir is pushed westward and occupies three bays of the nave. The Choir-stalls are modern and on either side of the choir-screen is the fine organ, rebuilt, enlarged and renovated'. Postcard published by Raphael Tuck & Sons in the 'Photogravure' series (no. 2160).
